What is a USB SATA IDE Adapter?

I freshly bought a IBM 560e thinkpad. It doesn't have a USB port or cd-rom. If i buy a USB SATA IED, would i be capable of hook up my cd-rom and hard drive to my laptop. With the USB outlet, would i know how to hook up my devices that have USB to this USB port.

What is a USB SATA IDE Adapter?

Hmmmm, not sure if this will work the path you were thinking.

Typically the connector you own is used in reverse of the road you are trying to use it - and is connected to a laptops USB port - then is connected to an external IDE device, (typically an external rugged drive).

The 560e is a little dated and I don't believe the BIOS for this laptop would support creating a USB port / nouns from the secondary IDE nouns.

Think it might be easier if you go the PCMCIA route. They product PCMCIA cards which have USB ports.

(there are heaps others).
USB, SATA and IDE are connection portals which you can use if you enjoy a terminal in your hardware. Yes, you can hook up on your CD-drives, Hard disk camera & etc.. provided that you enjoy the compatability and the connection is present.
