What could be the problem??

Well only just i checked up a pc, it boots fine, but consequently it does not detect my hard drive. say said drive not detect it, like it have no drive installed. But when i check in the bios here is all fine, my intricate drive is detect it there,

What do you reckon is the problem, could it be the ide cable, the complicated drive or the motherboard?

What could be the problem??

I would start with the IDE cable. Then I would move about to the HDD manufacturer's site and make a boot disk next to their diagnostic tool. More than likely it's only a dud HDD.
It might have no Installed Operating System to run.
