What do you be determined by 'backup'?

What do you be determined by 'backup'?

Backup: to engender an offline copy of your files so that in the event of a computer crash, you will not lose your notes.

Backups are your insurance policy for your computer data. Data is anything that you store on your computer.

How regularly you backup depends on how much data you can afford to lose. For a small business, which client files can you afford to lose? What nearly your quickbooks data folder, what happens when your computer crashes and you lose it?

Backup everything that you can. And save a copy of the backups off-site. If a tornado comes along and wipe out your home or business, you can be backup and running on any computer, by simply restoring your backup to the new computer.

Notes: Never backup to floppy disk. Floppies are not reliable. I own experienced a 60% failure rate next to some brands.

Never backup to a CDRW or DVDRW media. The read/write disc burners and DVD burners do not produce media explicitly compatible with adjectives CD / DVD drives. In other words, if you own to go to a spanking new computer, you *might* not be able to restore from compact disc RW or DVD RW media.

Use CDR, Flash drives, or cartridge backup. If you want to back up for a small business, spend the extra money on a honest, reliable, DDS drive.

Probably more than you wanted to know.
huh?
