What exactly is a PCI modem?

I found a conflict and uninstalled it expecting the PC to install when it found it.Unfortunately I enjoy no disk and as I am not sure what it is for I have no hypothesis what to look for on google.Now although it doesnt seem to be cause a problem,windows finds the hardware and consequently asks for the appropriate files!Annoying to an OCD like me!Tried www.driverdownload.com and the modem drivers that I downloaded,didnt work :(

It sounds to me like you already know what it is because you've be trying to download drivers for it and install them.



Try driverguide.com instead. They have a program which will automatically detect your hardware and find the appropriate driver for it.
1. uh a modem inserted surrounded by a PCI slot lol =p



2.look at the card usually the company who made it prints their name on it and budge to their website and download drivers.. but usually windows finds drivers for almost adjectives modems



3.Modem? most pc's dont have those anymore they are disappearing simply like the floppy drive haha
