It's a 3.2 Ghz. And for those who say-so you add 3.2 and 3.2 to draw from 6.4, they are really giving a false answer. That Intel model is old. If you are paying that price, carry a AMD X2. It is faster than the Pentium D (which sucks). You will get in the order of 20% to 50% average improvement.

This is because operation is not only determined by clock speed. Pentium Ds be Intel's first try at a dual core processor and are little more efficient than dual processor systems.



That chip is better than your Celeron D by leap and bounds but not as good as the Core 2 Duo.
