Whats a better video card setup?
The 8800 GTS will be about 3x as hurried as SLI'd 8600 GTS's, at any resolution below 2560x1600. And in armour you weren't aware of it, hardly any games support SLI, even today.
gag: Found a link for you: http://xtreview.com/review202.htm... As you can relay by the frames/sec. of the games (farther down the page than the 3D Mark scores), a single 8800 GTS absolutely KILLS SLI'd 8600 GTS's.
the 2 8600s' contained by sli .. but if it was me i would take one 8800 now and another then ..
thats a tough one. I think I'd move about with the 8800 640MB, I presume one 8800 could compete with SLI 8600's but if you go SLI with the 8800's they wold freakin crush the 8600 SLI's so discouraging it wouldn't even be funny.
get a 8800 gtx 768 meg from evga. that will pounding the SLI and its direct x 10 compatible.
