A typical computer system have 2 IDE channels on the motherboard, particular as Primary and Secondary channels respectively.



Each guide can support up to 2 drives connecting in a master-slave relationship. Under adjectives configurations, the primary channel master is used by the chief OS booting harddisk.

If you have one or more of a Drive, the second drive is the lower. The first drive, is your Primary.
